Xreferences in AutoCAD
by: RJ - Admin

Hi Kareem,

XREFS are basically individual drawing files (.dwg) that are referenced into your current drawing. Their entities reside in a separate file but can be displayed in your current drawing. This is a great way to keep a drawing file's size down.

We have already written about XREF's in a past newsletter, so please visit
http://www.cad-design-and-drafting-services.com/The_CAD_Times-autocad-tips-and-tricks-3.html for an in depth look at XREFS.
