Removing Unreferenced .shx Files

by Randy
(Kennewick, WA)

When you open an electronic drawing file from a source outside your office do you sometimes get a pop-up that AutoCAD is looking for a certain .shx file? Like, "aaa.shx", or "acad.shx"!

Load the lisp routine below into your drawing then type RSHX at the command line.

The program will eliminate that pesky pop-up.

I haven't found a method that works better.

I found this while searching for an answer.

Kudos to the author.

Randy

References Needed
by: RJ - Admin.

Guys, if you are going to add actual LISP routines, you are going to have to cite references to where the routines came from and give the appropriate credit. Otherwise we'll need to delete the LISP routines.

Word wrap
by: Randy

CadTech Staff,

I loaded a lisp routine into this box and it made it all left justified. I'm not a lisp guy but won't that mess it up? I'll enter it again and see what happens.

Randy- You need to post a link to the lisp routine. You can't just post a routine you found on another site here, unless you have written permission to do so. - RJ-Admin.
