View port plot problem by: Sanjib, India
Create your view port in separate layer. Then simply lock that layer. You will see the layer but it is not plotted

Preventing Viewports from Plotting in AutoCAD by: Anonymous
Layer Defpoints should be automatically created. If the Defpoints layer is not there, you create it and change all viewport layers to Defpoints.
With that you do not need to control the layer by putting the layer on or off.
You can also still see the viewport lines in the paper space but when printing will not be printed.
