Manipulating an AutoCAD lite drawing in AutoCAD

by Kristine
(Grand Rapids)

Q. If a drawing was created in AutoCAD Lite, can you open it in full AutoCAD and manipulate it?

A. Yes you can.

AutoCAD LT uses the .DWG format that is used by the full version of AutoCAD.

Now, you may have to convert your AutoCAD LT drawing to a different version of AutoCAD depending on which release you plan on using the DWG file with.

You can download Autodesk's free drawing version converter here
