Free Boat Plans

Using free boat plans to build your own boat, has its pros and cons.

Some do-it-yourselfers enjoy scanning over several boat plans, before deciding which one suits their taste or to get a feel for the different boat blueprints scattered around the net.

While there are several sites offering free boat building plans, I think in the long run, using a set of professionally created boat blue prints, with a thorough set of instructions and a complete materials list, is necessary to put together a boat that will float.
