Editing an Older Drawing and Adding New Blocks

I can open the original file and draw lines, shapes. etc., but as soon as I import a new block into the design, my problems start. Although their not apparent until I come to print out the designs, then all the lines and text print but the blocks I've imported don't print.

The blocks in question have been created in autocad LT 2004 and work with other drawings but not this one.

Any ideas why this might be?
