Disappearing Font/Text in autoCAD

by Tim
(VA)

Created a file and copied some text boxes from an existing drawing.

Now when I attempt to open the new file I am ask to choose a replacement font before the file will open.

What do I pick?

If I do not pick anything to replace the fonts or pick the wrong type i.e. "Simplex, roman... the text does not appear on the file when it opens.

Change the Font Style
by: Anonymous

What I would do is change the font style to Simplex or Romans in the existing drawing before copying it over.

Veiwing text as it was saved
by: Larry

I have run into the same promblem and like the other person said, you change the letter style to another name before saving it. You do not have to call it by the font name
