Current Space Problem in AutoCAD

by Lisa
(Wausau, Wisconsin)

I received a .dwg from a PCSurvey user.

I opened the file I can see all of the layers and none of the drawing.

I try to list the data in the drawing and it states that none of the data is in current space

"Select objects: all
6617 found
6617 were not in current space."

Are You in the Wrong Layout?
by: Anonymous

Sounds like you are in Paper Space and your objects are in Model Space, or vice versa.

Try clicking the model space and layout tabs at the bottom of your screen.

Then Zoom Extents to see where your data is.

Sometimes if there is a "scraggler" entity in your drawing, that is located quite far from your main drawing, it will be difficult to see all your data as everything is spread out.

Look for little specs of data and zoom in if that's the case.
