Cannot Specify Insertion Point in AutoCAD

by Anonymous
(United States)

Q. I've worked with AutoCAD for 20 years and am on mechanical 09.

Ever since I had to shut my computer down manually yesterday I've not been able to specify where I want to insert my blocks.

AutoCAD automatically inserts them all at the bottom left corner of my title block, so not even within my drawing.

Does anyone know why this could be happening and how I can get back to specifying the point on the drawing where I want the blocks to be inserted?

Thanks in advance.

A.Type "INSERT" at the command line and be sure the box for "Insertion Point Specify On-Screen" is checked, otherwise it defaults to 0,0,0.
