Benefits of Using AutoCAD Blocks

Q: Why is the concept of using blocks in drawings, that require the same collection of objects that are to be used on a multiple basis, ideal to a cad drafter?

A: Basically because of the time savings involved with not having to redraw or copy individual entities.

Blocks can also be easily managed and organized in the same AutoCAD drawing file, as well as, outside of the drawing; commonly known as "wblocks" (the "w" portion stands for "world".

Organizing an AutoCAD block library is a great way to make use of all the blocks you have created in individual drawings.

As you compile your library of symbols for drafting, you will be surprised to see just how much time you can save by inserting them individually into any drawing that you are working on.
