Allow Exploding Blocks in AutoCAD?

by Nick Spezio
(Pittsburgh, USA)

Is it possible to copy and explode a block if the block was created with the “Allow Exploding” box unchecked?

Back story:

We have a checker/scrubber here that explodes all assembly blocks when checking, instead of using “Refedit”, so I started making my assembly blocks with the “Allow Exploding” box unchecked.

Now I want to copy and use an existing cylinder housing on another part, and modify the length….

Is there a way to secretly explode this block?

Use BMAKE Command

Yes you can. Not sure if this is the correct way but I normally use the BMAKE command to redefine it with the modified options.
