Allow Exploding Blocks in AutoCAD?

Is it possible to copy and explode a block if the block was created with the “Allow Exploding” box unchecked?

Back story:

We have a checker/scrubber here that explodes all assembly blocks when checking, instead of using “Refedit”, so I started making my assembly blocks with the “Allow Exploding” box unchecked.

Now I want to copy and use an existing cylinder housing on another part, and modify the length….

Is there a way to secretly explode this block?
